Québec, September 22, 2003 - As part of the World
Forestry Congress which is being held at the Québec City Convention Centre from
September 21 to 25, 2003, the Fédération québécoise des gestionnaires de zecs
(FQGZ) is officially unveiling the 2003 map of Zecs printed in the 3 languages
identified by congress organizers, namely French, English and Spanish, for a
total of 50,000 copies. This document is being offered free of charge at the
FQGZ stand throughout the event, which will end with an open house on Thursday,
September 25th.
For the first time, the map will be sold ($2.95) via a
distributor who will make it available at various service points such as
convenience stores, sports stores and large-surface stores, etc.
On this map you will find the new Zec de Saint-Romain
created in 2002. Zec users are very much interested in obtaining the contact
information for all Zecs. Examples of such information include the e-mail
address, the telephone numbers of the secretariat and the check-in stations of
Zecs, etc.
This year, the FQGZ has teamed up with Sépaq to add the
parks and wildlife reserves of Québec. We would like to thank our sponsors:
Hydro-Québec, Sépaq, Fondation de la faune du Québec, Pierre Corbeil, Minister
of Forests, and Forêt Québec for their financial support.
Welcome to the FQGZ stand (number 46).
